Wellness Wednesdays with REV+FLOW and REFIT

Wellness Wednesdays start NOW beginning January 21st with REV+FLOW (strength, balance, toning, flexibility) from 5 - 6 pm, followed by REFIT (cardio, movement to music) from 6 - 7 pm! It's FREE for students, faculty, staff, and community members! Join us for fun community workouts to strengthen your body and your mind! In REV+FLOW, this round is a total body workout with functional mobility for everyday movements! We have some movie soundtrack songs on the REFIT playlist, including one to the song GOLDEN, by K-Pop Demon Hunters. This song recently won 2 awards - Golden Globe for Best Original Song and Critics Choice Award for Best Song. REFIT Video for GOLDEN is included below!! Questions? Women's Lacrosse Players Needed

The Alfred State Women’s Lacrosse team is looking for additional players this season. Experience in lacrosse is not necessary. The coaching staff has experience building players out of athletes with experience in sports other than lacrosse. If you are an athlete that has exhausted your eligibility in your primary sport, or a former high school athlete that has a competitive itch to scratch, we’d love to hear from you. Apply Now - Opening on Student Senate Executive Board

Student Senate currently has an opening for the Vice President of Commuter Affairs!

This is a paid position on the Student Senate Executive Board — $16/hour for up to 10 hours per week.

Position Requirements

  • Must be a Commuter Student (cannot live on campus)
  • Must have a 2.25 prior semester GPA
  • Must be available Tuesdays from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM for Executive & General Assembly meetings
  • Must be in good academic, financial, and judicial standing with the College.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student=

Main Duties

Serves as the primary liaison between commuter students and college leadership

Upholds the duties and responsibilities of Executive Board members, including attendance, reporting, and participation in Senate initiatives.

Oversees Commuter spaces and programming in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Student Unions.

About the Role
The Vice President of Commuter Affairs advocates for commuter-specific concerns, works with campus departments to support commuter engagement, and reports regularly to the General Assembly on commuter-related issues and opportunities.

Spring Play Auditions - A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Auditions will be January 22nd from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and January 23rd from 5 - 7 pm in Orvis Auditorium. Students need only attend one of the two days. Stage Crew, please attend to fill out important forms. 

Students should prepare a 1-2 minute memorized monologue - it can be from anything but is recommended to be Shakespeare or time-period relevant. You will audition only in front of our Director, so please don't be shy.

Rehearsal schedules vary based on student availability and are sent out weekly by the Director. Our show dates are April 16th-18th.

Allegany County Veteran Service Agency

The Allegany County Veteran Service Agency (VSO) will be on campus on January 23, 2026 from 10 to Noon in the Alfred State Veteran Lounge, EJ Brown, Room 201.  They will be sharing updates to veteran services, answering questions and meeting with our campus veterans and family members.

Empire State Service Corps- Summer Opportunity
