Hiring for Student Union Ambassadors!
Student Unions will start hiring for the 2025-2026 school year. We are hiring both work-study and non work-study students. If you are interested in interviewing for the position please visit JobLink to apply. Interviews will start on April 7. We will also be hiring for positions in the hands on project room (HOPR). Hairdresser on Campus
We have a new hairdresser, Kaylynn Hancock, on campus that will be in the Pioneer Cutz in the Pioneer Center.
She is starting on Tuesday, March 25.
Her hours are Monday 12-5pm and Tuesday 9-5pm.

Get Rec'd - The Campus Clash
Join us for an exciting team competition event featuring teams of six, with at least two members of the opposite gender. Enjoy a fun-filled day packed with games, challenges, and activities, along with delicious food and drinks provided for all participants. Take part in the raffle for a chance to win great prizes and compete for monetary rewards for the top-performing teams. Donโt miss out on this action-packed event full of camaraderie and competition!
Please have your team captain register all members for this event by filling out the registration form linked at the top of Pioneer Link. All teams get the choice of picking a team color where they will receive bandanas

Relay For Life hosted by Live to Fight.
Join us as we bring back Relay for Life in partnership with the American Cancer Society, an organization dedicated to funding life-saving cancer research, supporting patients and caregivers, and promoting prevention and awareness initiatives.

Parking lot 22 Closure
Parking lot 22 will be closing at 4 pm on 4/1 for Admitted Student Day. The parking lot will reopen on 4/2 at 4 pm.
Spring Hunting Permits
Spring hunting permits for small game and turkey will be available at University Police Monday, March 31st beginning at 7:00 A.M. We have a limited number of 25 to be issued.
Please stop at UPDโs dispatch located in the Theta Gamma House and bring a driverโs license of other form of ID.
Hunting at the College Farm property is limited to the farmhouse side of Route 244.
Student Senate Elections - Sign Up Now
We are excited to announce that applications for Student Senate positions for the 2025-2026 academic year are now open. There are 8 positions available on the board, offering an excellent opportunity for you to engage in university governance and contribute to important campus decisions.
These paid positions, compensated at NYS minimum wage, provide valuable leadership experience and a chance to make a positive impact on our campus community.

Virtual 'Registration Readiness' Workshop
The Academic Advising Center is hosting one virtual Registration Readiness workshop to help prepare students for Fall registration. The workshop will be on TEAMS and is scheduled for Monday, March 31st at 5:30pm. It's time to look to the future and plan for next semester! Learn about course registration, meeting with your advisor, staying on track with your degree planning, and graduation requirements! Most students get to register themselves for classes. The sooner you can get registered for next semester, the better schedule you will have. Learn about the digital tools that can help make registration quick and easy!

Spring Civic Film and Discussion - April 2nd at 5pm
The Center for Civic Leadership and Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences invite you to join us for a screening of Please Vote for Me, a compelling documentary that explores democracy in an unexpected setting: a third-grade classroom in China. As students navigate campaigning, debates, and election strategies, the film asks us to consider our understanding of democracy in action. The film is 45 minutes long and time for discussion afterwards will be included. Voter Registration information and snacks provided!

Selecting your Room!
Room selection will begin March 31, 2025 for students whose tuition deposit is received by March 25.
For those who have not paid their tuition deposit by March 26, room selection will begin on April 14, 2025.
You will need to have your housing application completed in order to select your room!
Selecting your room instructions:
- Log into your my.alfredstate.edu
- Select the โHousingโ icon
- Return to "Housing Overview"
- Select the green "Browse Rooms"
- You can search for specific rooms by building/section and/or other residence preferences set up. This may take a couple of attempts pending on your preferences and room availability. "No bed available" will appear if there is not a room available through the preferences you set up.
- Click the "bed" icon to select your room of choice.
- Dialog window will be prompted with details of the selected room.
- Click the "choose this bed" button
- Review the details of your room reservation. Click on "Assign me now" to confirm your assignment. Click the "look at other rooms" link to browse other rooms.
Please note individual room selection will close on August 1, 2025

Esports Room Open Hours
Have a bit of downtime between classes? Come down to the Esports rooms in SLC 202 and 319! All students are welcome to utilize our gaming PCs during our hosted Open Hours noted below. Students are welcome to play any of the games we have on the computers or work with our staff to include games you would like to see available.
