Residence Hall Registration Drop-Ins
It's time to look to the future and plan for next semester! Learn about course registration, meeting with your advisor, staying on track with your degree planning, and graduation requirements! Most students get to register themselves for classes. The sooner you can get registered for next semester, the better schedule you will have. Learn about the digital tools that can help make registration quick and easy! All are welcome and encouraged to join!

Student Ambassadors Wanted - Office of Admissions
The Admissions Office is currently looking for students who would like to become part of the Alfred State student ambassador team. Student ambassadors are dynamic leaders in the community and classroom and help provide a lasting impression of the College. The student ambassador position is highly prestigious and allows students to build valuable career skills like problem-solving, public speaking, and communication. As an added bonus you will earn some extra spending money!
Available positions are for Summer 2023 and the 2023-2024 academic year and all applicants must be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or better). Students can apply here by April 14 to be considered for the position!
Error with housing software, eRezLife
Attention Students
The Office of Residential Services is aware of an issue with our housing software, eRezLife, where you may not be able to sign in or sign up for housing. We are working on the issue and aim to have this resolved as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work to get all students the ability to sign up for housing and access relevant forms.
Once the issue is resolved, Residential Services will provide our students with an update.

Don’t Miss Out on Fall Registration – Take Care of Your Holds Now!
Fall registration begins April 10, 2023. Admissions (AD), Health Center (HF & IL), Student Accounts, Parking Ticket (UR) and Vice President (VP) holds will prevent you from registering. Take care of your holds now before course registration begins. Please contact the appropriate office as indicated if you have any questions regarding your hold(s).
Passover Seder Service on Alfred University campus
Alfred University’s Hillel is hosting a Passover Seder on Wednesday, April 5th at 6:00pm in the Knight’s Club. Please see the message below for more information. Alfred State community members who are interested in attending but aren’t familiar with the Alfred University campus can meet Angela Koskoff (DEI Specialist form Human Resources – koskofam@alfredstate.edu) in front of the Alfred University Bookstore (enter Powell Campus Center at the entrance nearest to the Fiat Lux Sign) at 5:30pm to head to the Knights Club.

Alfred State is hosting our annual Special Olympics event on Friday May 5th and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this a special day for all involved! The event runs from 9am-1pm

Domestic Violence Shelter Supply Drive – Spring into Action Initiative
This year our Leadership Suites are leading the charge with identifying ways to give to their wider community as part of our Spring into Action initiative. Our Women in Non-traditional studies club (WINS) are partnering with Accord to create supply bags for women and children in need. While they are sourcing several items themselves, we would love to engage the wider campus community for some of the specialty items that were mentioned as needs within shelters and support groups.
Specialty items being sought (new/unused) are:
- Socks of all sizes for women and children (special request for fuzzy socks)
- Baby bottles, pacifiers, and sippy cups
- Washcloths
- Leggings and/or pajamas for women and children
- Sports bras all sizes
Donations can be received in the WINS, STAR, and NOMAS Leadership Suite (SLC 315) throughout the week (April 3rd – 7th) or dropped off with Cyan Corwine in the Global and Civic Wellbeing office (SLC 416)

Friday at 7:00pm and Saturday at 7:00pm are Dinner Theater.
Doors open at 5:30pm & Dinner is served at 6:00pm
Tickets are $25 or two meal swipes for Alfred State Students.
Tickets can be purchased at the Alfred State campus store or by calling 607-587-4020. Dinner Theater Tickets must be ordered by April 5th.

Nursing Students going to Ireland - Chicken Barbeque Fundraiser
Nursing students will study abroad in Ireland this summer and want to help defray the cost. They will be selling Stearn's Chicken complete meals on April 20, 2023, beginning at 1500 (3 pm); the price will be $15 per meal. They must presell tickets, so if you are interested in helping defray costs for these students to benefit from a study abroad program, don't hesitate to contact the following students. 2023 to 2024 Individual Room Sign-Ups
The Office of College Housing would like to announce that Individual Room Sign-Ups have begun. The Individual Room Sign-up Process is based on accrued credit hours (including this term) as follows:
- 90+ hours | March 27, 2023
- 60+ hours | March 28, 2023
- 30+ hours | March 29, 2023
- 29 and less | March 30, 2023
- *New incoming students will have access beginning April 10, 2023
To sign up for housing, please follow the instructions below:
- Enter your my.alfredstate.edu
- Select the "Sign up for Housing" icon
- Log into eRezlife using your Alfred State email credentials
- Select "Housing Overview" under Housing
- Select your Admit Term "202301",
- Select your Class (freshman, senior, etc)
- Select your Full/Part time status (should be full time for housing)
- Select your Student Type (new freshman or transfer)
- Select the "Apply Now" button **if you have not completed your housing profile and housing profile questions you will be re-directed to do so**
- Select your Residence building preference(s). Once completed click "Save and Continue"
- Fill out the "Application Form"
- Confirm your application and select "Submit Application"
- Confirmation page will appear if you have successfully completed this process.
- Return to "Housing Overview"
- Select the green "Browse Rooms"
- You can search for specific rooms by building/section and/or other residence preferences set up. This may take a couple of attempts pending on your preferences and room availability. "No bed available" will appear if there is not a room available through the preferences you set up.
- Click the "bed" icon to select your room of choice.
- Dialog window will be prompted with details of the selected room.
- Click the "choose this bed" button
- Review the details of your room reservation. Click on "Assign me now" to confirm your assignment. Click the "look at other rooms" link to browse other rooms.

Bandwagon is hiring for the 2023-2024 academic year! We are a student-run content creation organization here at Alfred State. We make videos, produce podcasts, design posters and graphics, cover events, and encourage creativity throughout the student body. Responses are due April 12th and students must have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA to be eligible for employment in the Bandwagon. On Tuesday, April 11th at 6:30 pm the campus community is invited to attend a public debate event in the SLC Small Events Space. There will be a short, organized debate featuring student debaters to help frame the relevant issues followed by a public caucus-style debate in which YOU, the campus community, will have an opportunity to speak. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. We look forward to hearing your voice as we engage in a spirited but collegial debate on an issue of importance to students, faculty, and members of the campus community!
New Oasis Hours for the Spring!
Come in and enjoy a peaceful moment at the oasis, pick from several different essential oils, relax in the massage chairs, and grab a cup of tea on your way out. SLC RM 415
The Oasis will be open for the Spring 2023 semester, and will be following the below schedule throughout the semester.
- Monday (2-8pm), Tuesday (2-8pm), Wednesday (4-7pm), Thursday (2-6pm), Friday (2-4pm)
Use of the Oasis space can be booked by appointment (24 hours in advance) for certain days and hours. It will also be open for walk-in’s/first come, first served basis.
