Ramadan Meals @ The Terrace & TimberLineZ
Ramadan Meals Are Available At The Terrace & TimberLineZ During Dinner Hours Monday - Friday 4:30pm - 7:30pm Dates: 3.18.24 - 4.09.24
The Terrace will offer daily Halal-Approved chicken breast from Stearn's Poultry each night, as well as rotating vegetarian and seafood options. This may be eaten in after sundown or taken out to eat at an appropriate time. There will also be an order form to build breakfast boxes for the following morning. Each meal will require a meal swipe. Container fees will be waived for students observing Ramadan.
On Saturday and Sunday evenings (after 4:30pm) TimberLineZ will run a daily special that will include a Halal-approved protein. This will be available as a meal deal. TimberLineZ will take orders on Saturday & Sundays for morning meals.

Parking lots 20 and 22 will be closed on 3/19 at 4 pm for Accepted Student Day. These parking lots will reopen on 03/ at 4 pm.

Zeta Psi Omegaโs Annual Red Gala

- Join the sisters of Zeta Psi Omega as we host our annual Red Gala in support of our philanthropy Love 146. Love 146 is an organization that works to bring awareness to child sex trafficking and exploitation as well as provide support to those that have been affected by these heinous acts. There will be a raffle, a sit down dinner, and a brief demonstration! Those coming are encouraged to wear red in support of Love 146, however it is not required

TIE Etiquette Dinner
Come join us Thursday, April 4th in the Allegany Room (CDH), for a dinner where students and staff members will be able to interact in a great setting. This will be a great opportunity to mingle with different professors and on campus Professionals and Staff members. We will be having a social happy hour with mocktails from 5-6pm, after a presentation on dinner etiquette will start promptly at 6pm followed by the dinner. Fall 2024 Housing Application Launches March 1
New, transfer, and returning students can log into Housing to complete your housing application for the fall 2024 semester beginning on March 1!
Please note the actual room selection will being at a later date. Keep an eye on Student Announce for further details.
Please follow these instructions:
- Log into your my.alfredstate.edu
- Select the โHousingโ icon
- All housing application forms are available under the Housing Overview tab. You will also have a recommended action to 'Apply for Housing' that will take you to the housing overview.
- Click the "Apply Now" button beside the housing you wish to apply.
- If you haven't completed your housing profile and profile questions, you may be required to complete both the housing profile and housing profile questions before proceeding to the housing application form.
- Once you have completed the housing profile and profile questions, you will be re-directed to your homepage. You can then use the recommended action or the housing overview to reopen the application. Select your Residence building preference by choosing the building that you would most like to live from the list on the left. You can reorder or remove preferences in the box on the left. Click "Save" to save your data, or click "Save and Continue" to proceed.
- Complete all questions on the application form. Mandatory questions on the application are marked with a red asterisk mark. After completing your application form, click "Save" to save your data, or click "Save and continue" to continue with your housing application process.
- On the Confirm Application page, carefully review your application details and check off the three terms listed indicating that you understand and agree with all statements.
Once your housing application is completed activate your RoomeeZ profile to find potential roommates! Please follow these instructions to activate and create your RoomeeZ profile.
- Turn on your profile under โMy roommate profile.โ
- Fill out the required fields on your roommate profile.
- Select which information you want shared with other students.
- Enter any social media and contact information you want to share.
You are now complete and can search for a potential roommate with other students who have created a RoomeeZ profile.
Jenna Curcuru, "The Blind Chupacabra" of TikTok
On Wednesday, March 20 at 2:00 PM in the Orvis Auditorium, the Allied Health Department will be hosting a virtual presentation by Jenna Curcuru, PA-C, renowned as "The Blind Chupacabra" on TikTok.
Jenna Curcuru, 43 and retired as a Physician's Assistant, Surgical Technologist, Cosmetologist, and Pastry Chef, will share her remarkable journey of resilience and adaptation following her diagnosis of Juvenile Diabetes Mellitus at the age of ten. Despite facing numerous medical challenges, Jenna's spirit remains undeterred. Jenna offers the unique opportunity to provide different perspectives as a provider, patient, and caregiver of her only son, who has been diagnosed as terminally ill.
Throughout her challenges, Jenna has approached adversity with a blend of sharp wit, sarcasm, joy, and an indomitable attitude. In her words, "My son and I are thriving each day, and are grateful for each day spent on this side of the grass."
