We are pleased to announce that sign-ups for the upcoming Activities Fair are now open! The fair will be held on Thursday, August 21st, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Pioneer Stadium.

How to Participate:
To ensure your group's participation, please complete the reservation form available at Activities Fair Form. Please note that table reservations are required due to limited space availability.

Important Details:

• Date: Thursday, August 21st, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
• Location: Pioneer Stadium
• Deadline: Sign-ups must be completed by August 15th to secure your table.

Groups that do not reserve a table by the deadline may not be allotted space. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please contact Tyler Ribble at Ribblet@alfredstate.edu.

myLearning Navigation Updates for summer/fall 2025

Based on feedback from campus groups and link usage on navigation and course menus the following changes are being made. This coincides with a required branding update from SUNY.

Navigation Bar: 

The campus navigation bar will encounter the following changes:

• “Student Success” will be moved under a new link named CARE
• The Starfish link will be moved from “More” to CARE
• “myLearning Resources” will include a link to the myLearning Readiness Course for Students
• The myLearning Portal Page will be added as a new link under "myLearning Resources"

The course navigation will also encounter the following changes: 

• The navigation link for “Roster” will be re-named to “Classlist”
• Quizzes will be moved from Course Tools onto the primary course navigation bar

Fall 2025 Room Selection for New Students          

Selecting your Room! 

Room selection will begin March 31, 2025 for students whose tuition deposit is received by March 25.  

For those who have not paid their tuition deposit by March 26, room selection will begin on April 14, 2025. 

You will need to have your housing application completed in order to select your room! 

Selecting your room instructions:

1. Log into your my.alfredstate.edu
2. Select the “Housing” icon
3. Return to "Housing Overview" 
4.  Select the green "Browse Rooms"
5. You can search for specific rooms by building/section and/or other residence preferences set up. This may take a couple of attempts pending on your preferences and room availability. "No bed available" will appear if there is not a room available through the preferences you set up. 
6. Click the "bed" icon to select your room of choice. 
7. Dialog window will be prompted with details of the selected room. 
8. Click the "choose this bed" button
9. Review the details of your room reservation. Click on "Assign me now" to confirm your assignment.  Click the "look at other rooms" link to browse other rooms. 

Please note individual room selection will close on August 1, 2025

Selecting your Room! 

Room selection will begin March 24, 2025 and will be released based on completed credit hours as follows: 

Monday, March 24 – 90+ Credit Hours Completed

Tuesday, March 25- 60+ credit hours completed

Wednesday, March 26- 30+ credit hours completed

Thursday, March 27- 29 or less credit hours completed
