Community Trick-or-Treat Event October 30th

Alfred State is once again opening the doors to the SLC park-space and leadership suites for our wider community to bring their children for a trick-or-treat event and we invite you to be a collaborative partner!

  • Date - Thursday, October, 30th
  • Location - 3rd Floor of Alfred States Student Leadership Center
  • Time- 5pm to 7pm

There are a few ways to be involved:

  • Celebrate your campus affinities while engaging in this spirited community engagement event by signing your club/department/class up to have a table in the SLC to hand out "treats" to the community "treaters"
  • Can't donate your time but want to help with supplies? Donate candy or Halloween-themed swag to be handed out by campus organizations on the night.
  • Looking for something fun to do with your family, dress up and pilot those costumes with your children for a warm "trick-or-treat" experience in the SLC and help us spread the word to the wider community (we can even print a poster for you to put up where folks in wider community can see).
    • Student Unions is further supporting the event by screen the live action Scooby Doo movie in the small events space.

As an added bit of seasonal fun, we will have a door decorating contest between leadership suites in the SLC and invite you to cast your vote on our door decorating competition link or scanning a QR code that is available in the window of the Civic Leadership Suite (SLC 412). Suites will have the month of October to decorate, and the winning suite will be announced after the trick-or treat event on Monday, October 30th. The top two suites will get a boost to their leadership suite funding from Civic Leadership.

For sign up to support this event complete our community trick-or-treat table sign-up form (using your Alfred State credentials). If you have any questions, please email civicengagement@alfredstate.edu
