Come show your support 12/5/25-SLC Park Space
THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5th, 1:30-2:30 PM - Show your support for your fellow Pioneers and come to SLC Park Space from 1:30-2:30 PM to see the Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics & Computer Engineering Technology Senior Project poster presentations. Industry representatives and MEET Dept faculty will be present. Some projects include: a Lab View Robot, BAJA-off road vehicle, the A State Marble Machine and a Robotics game.
Performing Arts Winter Concert
On Friday, December 5th at 7:00pm in the Cappadonia Auditorium, come ring in the holiday season and support the Performing Arts at Alfred State in their annual Winter Concert. You can carol along and rock out with classic favorites performed by Voices and Instrumental Music. A dessert reception will follow. We hope to see you there!
Wellsville Creative Arts Center Caroling Concert
Join Alfred State Voices and Chamber Musicians on Saturday, December 6th at the Wellsville Creative Arts Center for a festive morning filled with caroling and good cheer. Music begins at 11:00am at 124 North Main Street in Wellsville, NY. We hope to see you there!

First Year NYC Student Lunch
Calling all first-year students from New York City. Come have a pizza with your admissions counselor on Tuesday December 9th in SLC room 408 from 12 PM to 2PM. This lunch will give you all a space to catch up with each other during this time in finals week as well as for me to catch up with you. I hope to see you there.

Campus Shuttle Holiday Schedule
The last Shopping Trip will be December 7th.
The last Campus Shuttle Run is on December 12th.
There will be a shopping trip on December 18th.
Shuttles will resume the regular schedule on January 20th.

Megabus is offering non-stop bus services to New York City and Alfred for Winter break. Dates and times of bus travel are listed below!
To New York City:
Friday, December 12 departing from Orvis Activities Center or West University St at 2:30 pm and 2:45 pm
Sunday, December 14 departing from West University at 7:45 am

Rochester Airport Shuttle
Depart Alfred Tuesday, December 9 at 6 am
Depart Alfred Saturday, December 13 at 6 am
Requests for Airport Shuttle must be to the Rochester Airport and students will have to fill out the Online travel request form for both their trips to and from the airport two weeks in advance.
Update your Personal Information
All students are encouraged to review and Update their Personal Information on a regular basis. You can update items such as your address, phone number, preferred first name, and personal pronouns.
Winter Aid Application Now Available!
Planning to take Winter courses? You can use your Spring refund to help pay for it! Complete the Winter Aid Application form to have your Spring financial aid refund applied toward your Winter Session charges. (Note: This isn’t extra aid—just an early use of your Spring funds.) To be eligible to complete this form, you must have completed a 2025-2026 FAFSA and be registered for Winter and Spring courses.
How to Apply for Winter Aid
Go to my.AlfredState.edu, select Finances, and choose “Complete Financial Aid Tasks” on the Financial Aid & Costs card to access Alfred State Student Forms.
- First-time user? You may need to set up your account before proceeding.
- Once your account is set up, click “Manage Request” at the top of the page and select “Winter Aid Application.”
- Important: The Winter Aid Application will not appear unless you have completed the 2025–2026 FAFSA.

Paying Your Winter Bill
Go to my.AlfredState.edu, select Finances, and use the “Pay Bill” card to pay your Winter bill through Nelnet to avoid any issues.
