Apply to Graduate in December 2023

All students completing degree requirements this semester need to apply to graduate (diplomas are not automatically awarded) by visiting my.AlfredState.edu/registration > Graduation and Commencement > Apply for Graduation.  Prospective graduates should contact their academic department to ensure graduation requirements have been met and view their degree progress on DegreeWorks

The deadline to apply for a December 2023 diploma is October 9, 2023. 

  • There is NO fee for the graduation application.
  • Students with a minor OR students in a 4-year program looking to earn the corresponding 2-year degree (once requirements are met) must apply to graduate by filling out a Paper Degree Application
  • Please DO NOT apply for May 2024 graduation at this time. 
  • Graduating students who plan to return this spring (in a new program) must apply for readmission through the Admissions Office.  Readmission Applicants are unable to register until their application is approved.

Last Day to Drop Without a Fee

Students can process a course change notice without a fee until 11 am on Monday, September 18, 2023. 

After this date, a $20 drop fee will be assessed.  Students may pay the fee online by visiting my.alfredtate.edu/finances > View/Pay your Bill, or in the Student Records and Financial Services Office located in the Agriculture Science Building. 

Course Change Notice and Withdrawal/Leave of Absence forms received after 11 am on September 18 will be dated when received, but not processed until Tuesday, September 19th.

THE DOG WASH IS BACK!!!

The Veterinary Technology Club and the Opt to Adopt Suite is holding their first dog wash since before COVID!  We are so excited to have the ability to do this with the public again...so here are the details:

When: Saturday September 23

Where: the HOPR (the garage looking thing on the front of the SLC)

Time: 10:00AM-2:00PM

Appointments are requested, but not required, just realize that those with appointments will be given priority! For an appointment please email: Murraypc@alfredstate.edu

Pricing: Please be aware that this is a basic bath-no detangling/dematting or clipping will be performed. This event is for well behaved dogs only-sorry no cats or dogs with aggression issues.  Dogs must be on a leash and should be up to date on vaccinations. 

  • $10 for just a bath
  • $15 wash, nail trim, and ear cleaning
  • $ 5 nail trim
  • $ 5 ear cleaning

Funds will help us with club events and donations worthy events/programs involving animals

What is REV+FLOW fitness?

What is REV+FLOW fitness? It is functional mobility that is low impact and high intensity at the same time. It is a one of a kind workout that is kind to your body as you develop strength, toning, balance, and flexibility. We offer a weekly class for students, faculty and staff on Thursdays from 5 - 6 pm in The Studio at the Pioneer Center. Yoga mats and light (optional) hand weights are provided. Take Out BBQ Rib Dinner

Culinary Arts is hosting a take-out BBQ rib dinner on Thursday, September 21st.  The time is 3:00pm - 5:30pm (or until sold out).

The menu includes smoked BBQ Baby Back Ribs (half rack), Salt Potatoes, Corn on the Cobb, Dinner Roll, and Cookie.

Cost is $15.00 cash or check only (no advanced ticket sales).
