STAT Interest Meeting - Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow

🍦 STAT Interest Meeting - Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow
Thursday, November 13 | 3:00 - 5:00 PM | SLC Small Event Space (Room 310)

Join us for the first Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) meeting of the academic year! STAT is all about celebrating Alfred State pride, building traditions, and creating meaningful connections between students and alumni. Whether you’re looking to get involved, make new friends, or start building your professional network, STAT is the perfect place to begin.

We’ll be serving Perry’s Ice Cream, founded by Brian Perry ’85 - an Alfred State alumnus who remains deeply connected to the college and continues to give back in meaningful ways. While Brian won’t be in attendance, we’re proud to share a taste of his success as we talk about the importance of staying connected beyond graduation.

Come enjoy some ice cream, learn about STAT’s mission and upcoming opportunities, and discover how you can make an impact as a student today - and an alum tomorrow!

Everyone is welcome!  Bring a friend and your Pioneer pride!

Tips for Successful Course Registration

Spring registration begins Monday, November 17. Here are some tips to ensure a smooth registration process:

  1. Meet with Your Advisor Early: Schedule a meeting with your academic advisor before November 17 to discuss your course choices, confirm they align with your degree requirements, and get your registration PIN and time ticket. This step is essential to avoid any registration delays.
  2. Register Promptly: Sign up for your classes as soon as registration opens. Courses can fill up quickly, especially popular or required ones, so registering early gives you the best chance to secure your preferred schedule.
  3. Check Financial Aid Messages: Pay attention to any financial aid notifications that appear while registering. Financial aid can be affected if you’re enrolling in a repeated course or one that doesn’t count toward your degree, which might lead to unexpected charges.

Helpful registration resources (How-to Guides) are available to students by visiting my.AlfredState.edu, selecting “Academics,” and then choosing “Additional Academic Info” on the “Academic Resources” card.

Get Ready for Spring 2026 Registration

Helpful registration resources (How-to Guides) are available by visiting my.AlfredState.edu, selecting “Academics,” and then choosing “Additional Academic Info” on the “Academic Resources” card.

Graduating and re-admitting into a new major?
You’ll need to reapply through the Admissions Office and pay your enrollment deposit before you’ll be assigned a web registration time and Alternate Registration PIN.

Expected to graduate this semester but now will not?
Your Academic Department Chair must remove you from the graduation list before a registration time can be assigned. Be sure to follow up to confirm this has been completed.

Please note: You are not officially registered for classes until your bill is paid. The Spring 2026 bill is due by 4:00 PM on January 8, 2026.
