GOVERNOR HOCHUL DIRECTS STATE FLAGS TO HALF-STAFF IN HONOR OF FORMER REPRESENTATIVE RICHARD L. OTTINGER FLAGS WILL BE FLOWN AT HALF-STAFF ACROSS NEW YORK STATE TOMORROW, FEBRUARY 18, AND ON THE DAY OF REPRESENTATIVE OTTINGER'S FUNERAL SERVICE GOVERNOR KATHY HOCHUL TODAY DIRECTED FLAGS TO BE LOWERED TO HALF-STAFF ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 TO HONOR THE LIFE AND PUBLIC SERVICE OF FORMER REPRESENTATIVE RICHARD L. OTTINGER, WHO PASSED AWAY ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16 AT THE AGE OF 97. "REPRESENTATIVE OTTINGER WAS A PROLIFIC PUBLIC SERVANT WHO BELIEVED IN MAKING NEW YORK A BETTER STATE FOR ALL," GOVERNOR HOCHUL SAID. "A PROMINENT ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCATE THROUGHOUT HIS TIME IN CONGRESS AND INTO RETIREMENT, REPRESENTATIVE OTTINGER LED BY EXAMPLE, FIGHTING FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND NEW YORK. I SEND MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO THE OTTINGER FAMILY AND ALL HIS LOVED ONES." A LEADING ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCATE, REPRESENTATIVE OTTINGER SERVED IN CONGRESS FOR 16 YEARS, REPRESENTING A MAJORITY OF WESTCHESTER COUNTY. FIRST ELECTED TO THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN 1965, REPRESENTATIVE OTTINGER SERVED THREE FULL TERMS FOLLOWED BY A SECOND DECADE OF SERVICE BEGINNING IN 1975. OVER THE COURSE OF HIS LIFE IN PUBLIC SERVICE, REPRESENTATIVE OTTINGER CHAMPIONED EFFORTS TO CLEAN UP THE HUDSON RIVER, CURB POLLUTION, AND PRESERVE NEW YORK'S VITAL NATURAL RESOURCES.

The Terrace will offer daily Halal-Approved protein selection each dinner service throughout Ramadan, in addition to vegetarian and seafood options. Dinner is served from 4:30pm - 8pm.

Religious Freedom Discussion: Practicing Faith in a Fractured World

Join the Cultural Life Center and Center for Civic Leadership for a candid discussion about intersections of faith, identity and politics on Wednesday, February 25th from 5-6 pm in the Small Events Space. Together we will explore tensions related to our current political climate as it impacts various religious groups and communities and how faith can be a source of hope in a deeply divided and increasingly fractured world. Open to people of all faith backgrounds and religious identities. Snacks and voter registration information will be available!

February 23, 2026
(This deadline is required to receive a May 2026 diploma.)

Important reminders:

  • There is no fee to apply
  • Students who plan to attend commencement will need to pay a fee
  • Do NOT apply for August 2026 graduation at this time
  • Students graduating in May who plan to return in the fall in a new program must apply for readmission through the Admissions Office
    ➜ Registration is not allowed until readmission is approved

Delta Chi Omega is collecting gently used prom dresses to support our Project Prom Dress philanthropy. Project Prom Dress is dedicated to ensuring every girl has the opportunity to feel confident, beautiful, and celebrated on her special night. 

All donations will help provide gowns to young women who may not otherwise have access to prom attire.

Drop off your dress at the DCO Suite and help us make prom possible for everyone!
