Interested in Intramurals? Get a jump start on sign-ups by signing up early using IMLeagues! Make an account using your Alfred State Email and choose the sports you want to play in the Fall! Intramurals and IMLeagues is free to all Alfred State students. You can sign up with friends as a team or as an individual (free agent). All team names must be school appropriate.

Intramurals sports are played in a league fashion. Games will be scheduled weekly and at the end of the league, the winning team receives Intramural Champions Shirts!

We are pleased to announce that the 2024-25 fiscal budget for Student Senate-funded organizations is now available.

If your club's Treasurer is continuing from the Spring 2024 semester, they are permitted to submit purchase requests during this semester break.

For clubs with a new Treasurer, please contact Tyler Ribble at ribblet@alfredstate.edu to make any purchasing requests.

Thank you to everyone for your efforts, support, and dedication in providing a wonderful experience for our incoming students and their guests during our 2024 Orientation sessions. We appreciate everyone working as a team to welcome and onboard our New Pioneers to the college. This summer we had 1,073 students attend an orientation session, we will host our Make-Up Orientation session on Tuesday, August 20 at 10 a.m. in Orvis Auditorium. 

In 2023, we had 199 students who did not attend an orientation session, and this year we had 204 students who did not attend a session, making it a 2.7% no show rate compared to 2023. The students who did not attend Orientation will be required to attend our Make-Up Orientation session and will be paired with a Peer Coach. A Peer Coach is an upper-class student who will help guide them through the fall semester to ensure they are being successful in and out of the classroom. 
 

The Office of Residential Services is now taking applications for the Resident Assistant Position for Fall 2024.

RA's get leadership development, mentorship with professionals, soft skill development and a resume builder, opportunities to advance into paid positions, and getting their room paid for!

To qualify for the RA position, candidates must have a minimum 2.25 GPA and no current student conduct status.

Fall 2024 Room Selection for New Students          

Selecting your Room! 

Room selection will begin April 1, 2024 for students whose tuition deposit is received by March 26.  

For those who have not paid their tuition deposit by March 26, room selection will begin on April 15, 2024. 

You will need to have your housing application completed in order to select your room! 

Selecting your room instructions:

1. Log into your my.alfredstate.edu
2. Select the “Housing” icon
3. Return to "Housing Overview" 
4.  Select the green "Browse Rooms"
5. You can search for specific rooms by building/section and/or other residence preferences set up. This may take a couple of attempts pending on your preferences and room availability. "No bed available" will appear if there is not a room available through the preferences you set up. 
6. Click the "bed" icon to select your room of choice. 
7. Dialog window will be prompted with details of the selected room. 
8. Click the "choose this bed" button
9. Review the details of your room reservation. Click on "Assign me now" to confirm your assignment.  Click the "look at other rooms" link to browse other rooms. 

Please note individual room selection will close on August 1, 2024

Fall 2024 Room Selection for Returning and Transfer Students          

Selecting your Room! 

Room selection will begin March 25, 2024 and will be released based on completed credit hours as follows: 

Monday, March 25 – 90+ Credit Hours Completed

Tuesday, March 26, 60+ credit hours completed

Wednesday, March 27, 30+ credit hours completed

Thursday, March 28 , 29 or less credit hours completed

You will need to have your housing application completed in order to select your room!
