Student Vehicle Registration
All students planning on bringing and parking a vehicle on the Alfred and Wellsville campuses must have their vehicle registered with the annual $115 parking fee paid. The annual $115 fee cannot be prorated and will cover the fall and spring semesters for the academic year. The parking hang tag must be displayed on the vehicle at all times when parked on either campus.
*Students do NOT need to pick up parking passes as soon as they arrive on move in days. UPD will announce scheduled pick up times or students may stop in anytime during the first week of classes. Please continue to monitor these Student Announce e-mails for scheduled pick up times in August.
Registering Online
Register your vehicle online when paying and processing your bill on My.AlfredState.edu/finances and select:
Add CSA and Other Bill Options:
- Select Term
- Your optional fees billing information will appear and under "Adjustable Fees" here you will enter your vehicle information (license plate number and state along with vehicle make, model, color, year).
- Navigate back to My.AlfredState.edu/finances and select “Pay Bill/Sign Up for e-Refund” to review your bill and make any necessary payment.
How to Obtain Your Parking Permit
Once you have registered your vehicle online through My.AlfredState.edu/finances :
- Alfred Campus Resident Students will obtain their parking permits during designated registration hours to be announced via Student Announce Email upon arrival to campus beginning mid-week prior to the beginning of fall classes and during the first week of fall classes. Students will pick up their permits at University Police located at the Theta Gamma House on Lower College Drive.
- Alfred Campus Commuter Students (not residing on campus) will obtain their parking permits from University Police located in the Theta Gamma House when first arriving on campus prior to the beginning of classes.
- Wellsville Campus Commuter Students (not residing on campus and only attending classes at Wellsville) will obtain their parking permits from their curriculum department's secretary when arriving on the campus once classes begin for the semester during normal business hours. Please allow a couple of days after registering online for the permit to be forwarded to the Wellsville campus and disseminated.
* If your vehicle is parked on campus and your parking pass is still being processed, you should proceed to the University Police Department on the Alfred Campus or the Zero Energy Home on the Wellsville Campus to obtain a temporary parking permit to avoid being ticketed. All vehicles parked on either the Alfred or Wellsville campuses must display a parking pass (permanent or temporary) on the rearview mirror of their vehicle at all times.
