Special Event: Please join us on Thursday, April 17 from 11:30am-2:30pm and have the opportunity to give someone a 2nd Chance At Life! Christopher’s Challenge will be holding a bone marrow drive and will be there to educate and type people between the ages of 18-55 who would like to be added to the DKMS Registry. If someone relapses from a disease such as leukemia, their only hope to survive is to have a marrow transplant. Their sibling is the most likely match but if they do not match, then a search begins in the Registry. That is where you come in – you can get typed on April 17 and you may be that person that saves someone’s life. The initial testing is to complete a brief registration and a cheek swab. Our website has additional information at Welcome | Christopher's Challenge as well as our Facebook page – please like Christopher’s Challenge.
Let's come together and show our fraternity spirit by making this blood drive a huge success! Spread the word, bring your friends, and let's make a difference together.
For more information, contact Joshua Rosario at Rosarijd@alfredstate.edu.

Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship - $1,000
Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States, with a growing number of young people being diagnosed with this condition each year. The radical effects such a condition can have upon a student’s life and education is what led us to create the Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship. Open to both undergraduate and graduate students (men and women living with heart disease) in the U.S., we hope this opportunity will provide a high-achieving student with a little welcome relief during their journey.
The top candidate will be named the sole recipient of our $1,000 prize based on the following criteria and requirements:
- Attending an accredited college or university in the U.S. during the 2025-2026 school year.
- Being diagnosed with heart disease or a congenital heart defect.
- A minimum of 3.0 GPA.
- Copy of college or high school academic transcripts.
- Submitting an essay, as described below:
Students must choose one of the following topics and write a 500- to 1,000-word essay to submit for consideration.
- How has heart disease affected or changed your plans in life? How have you dealt with your diagnosis to continue to strive to reach your goals?
- What aspects of living with heart disease do you wish society better understood?
- What steps do you think the U.S. should take to reduce heart disease?
- What advice would you give to a young person who has just been diagnosed with heart disease?
All the required paperwork must be submitted by June 15, 2025.
We stand at your disposal for any further questions. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Visitors to the poster fair will have the opportunity to act as investors and "fund" the projects they like best. Come check out all their hard work!

It only takes a minute to complete and will help us assess and improve learning in your program!

If you currently have an outstanding parking ticket you can drop off a minimum donation of $10 of non-perishable, not-expired food items or unopened, not expired hygiene items at the Criminal Justice Club suite 411 or Global Engagement and Civic Wellbeing suite 416 in the SLC during posted hours and provide the workers with your name and 800# for identification of your ticket. Donations can only be made to CJ Club, NOT at the University Police office. You can have ONE previously issued parking ticket dismissed. This will benefit the Community Needs Hub for students.
