Career Fair Parking

Parking lots 20, 20a and 22 will be closed on September 24th at 4pm for the Career Fair.  The parking lots will reopen after the Career Fair is over on September 25th.

Collegiate Agriculture Leaders Club- CAL Club

Alfred State CAL Club is reaching out to any and all students with any interest in agriculture! Whether is be dairy cows, beef cows, sheep, goats, crops or any other area of agriculture, we have a place for you. Our goals as a club is to help advocate all areas of agriculture and help educate the public about all the great things farmers do. We host guest speakers to talk about career opportunities in the ag industry, we go on field trips, have club bonding events(ag related and non ag related) and our big event this fall will be organizing a haunted trail held at the college farm. 

When and where can you find us? We meet every Wednesday at the college farm(location to be discussed if there is enough interest to move it to campus) in the classrooms at 6:30 p.m.

Bath time for your pups!

The Vet Tech Club is happy to announce their annual dog wash! It will be held Saturday September 28 from 10am to 2pm in the HOPR of the SLC. This is a basic wash, NO grooming (dematting, detangling, clipping, etc) is available. Open to students and faculty of Alfred State as well as members of the community. Well behaved dogs only! All dogs must be leashed and up to date on vaccinations. 

Basic dog wash $10

Ear cleaning $5

Nail trim $5

Package (wash, ears, nails) $15

Emergency Drill Recap

During the experience it was clear that there are a large number of people in our community that have not signed up for RAVE alerts. Apply to Graduate December 2024

All students completing degree requirements this semester need to apply to graduate (diplomas are not automatically awarded) by visiting my.AlfredState.edu/registration > Graduation and Commencement > Apply for Graduation.  Prospective graduates should contact their academic department to ensure graduation requirements have been met and view their degree progress on DegreeWorks

The deadline to apply for a December 2024 diploma is October 7, 2024. 

  • There is NO fee for the graduation application.
  • Students with a minor OR students in a 4-year program looking to earn the corresponding 2-year degree (once requirements are met) must apply to graduate by filling out a Paper Degree Application
  • Please DO NOT apply for May 2025 graduation at this time. 
  • Graduating students who plan to return this spring (in a new program) must apply for readmission through the Admissions Office.  Readmission Applicants are unable to register until their application is approved.

The Fall Schedule for the Student Senate General Assembly Meeting is as follows:

Meetings will take place in a new location - Physical Health & Science Building (PHS) 107

The Student Senate General Assembly (GA) provides the opportunity for all Students of Alfred State to discuss issues/concerns and hear updates in regard to all matters that affect campus life. These topics include, but are not limited to:

This semester the Student Senate Executive Board will be raffling off three $250 gift cards at the last General Assembly (GA) on 12/3/2024. To receive a ticket for the raffle you must attend a GA meeting throughout the semester. Each attendance will earn you one ticket.

Attendees must show up on time. Late attendance forfeits your ability to receive your raffle ticket.
