2024-2025 Financial Aid Plans Available

Financial Aid Plans for the 2024-2025 academic year are now available to students who have completed the FAFSA.   Students will receive a personal email notification when their aid offer is ready or if outstanding requirements must be met to finalize aid.  After significant delays from the recent FAFSA changes, the ASC team worked hard to re-program and integrate the changes into our systems.  ASC is among the first of a small group of SUNY schools who have started releasing financial aid offers to students.

UUP Update on NY/SUNY BUDGET - Read, Learn, Take Action

You may have already come to learn of the recently passed New York state budget, and its implications for the SUNY system.  Know that UUP negotiates directly with the governor and the legislature during the budget process to help SUNY and its students thrive, now and in the future.

The following news release describes how UUP's influence has temporarily preserved Downstate Medical University in Brooklyn, which was facing a closure plan.

https://uupinfo.org/communications/releases/240419.php

The following news release describes UUP's work and results on the state budget, specifically related to SUNY.

https://uupinfo.org/communications/releases/240422.php

UUP believes in the power of SUNY as a system, working to help the campuses under financial stress, to keep higher education accessible to the largest possible audience.  We stand in support of Downstate, Potsdam, and now Fredonia - which has a community rally planned for Monday, April 29th to speak out against planned program closures.  You can help:

UUP MEMBERS MAKE SUNY WORK. A higher proportion of membership adds to our negotiating leverage for improving our work lives and benefitting SUNY as a whole. Membership is NOT automatic; check your pay stub and if you’re not already a member, you can sign up at http://uupinfo.org/join

What To Do With Your Left Over Eclipse Glasses

If you have left over eclipse glasses, bring them down to the Hinkle Library! We are planning to send all the undamaged glasses we can get to Eclipse Glasses USA. From there they will be sent to children in countries that might not have easy access to eclipse glasses. This is just in time for the Eclipse that will pass through Chile and Argentina later this year.

Eclipse glasses can be left at the Hinkle Library information desk and will be collected until May 6th.
