This is the first in a planned series of follow-up discussions from last year's very popular "Black Love" discussion. Please join us and make this yet another extraordinary event. The Cultural Life Center, Brother to Brother, and Sister Circle are proud sponsors of this event and want to encourage participation by all members of the community. How to Avoid a Parking Ticket - University Police

We would like to encourage anyone parking a vehicle on the Alfred State Campus to review the Alfred State Parking Regulations in full at: https://www.alfredstate.edu/university-police/parking-regulations

Important information to avoid being ticketed is as follows:

All vehicles parked on the Alfred State Campus must have a parking pass (permanent or visitor) hung on their rearview mirror.

Students that reside on campus are not allowed to park in Faculty and Staff (F/S) lots. Commuters (CR) who are attending night classes after 4:30 pm may park in F/S lots: 6, 7, 10, 11, 28 and 29 for the duration of their class.

Students that reside on campus are not allowed to park in Commuter (CR) lots, even if you drive to Wellsville every day.

Students are not allowed to park in fire lanes, on dorm ramps, in the grass, on sidewalks, in Future Pioneer spots, visitor or accessible parking spaces.

If a parking lot is closed off with parking cones, and/or signs, do not enter the closed parking lot. This includes overnight and/or for just a short time. Please pay attention to the daily student announces as there are many parking lot closures throughout the semester for various campus events.

If you receive a parking ticket, you have 5 business days to appeal that ticket in person at the University Police Department.

A vehicle which has 3 or more outstanding parking tickets may have a wheel lock placed on the vehicle until all tickets are paid in full.

As a courtesy to your fellow Pioneers, if you do not plan to use your vehicle daily, or at least every couple of days, please park your vehicle in one of the upper parking lots such as 18, 19, 20, 20a (near the stadium) or 31 (located behind Peet Hall).
