Student Parking Information/Commuter Lots - University Police

Please remember that parking lots 4, 9 & 13 are designated for Commuter Parking ONLY. Students who live on campus are not permitted to park in Commuter parking at any time (even if you travel to the Wellsville Campus). If your assigned hangtag is not a commuter tag, you will receive a parking violation for parking in the Commuter lots.  Vehicles have also been parking down the middle of parking lot #13, which has no designated (striped) parking spaces. Vehicles should not be parked outside of the striped spaces, as this is a violation of the parking regulations. Here is a link to the online interactive parking map if you have questions about where to park: https://map.concept3d.com/?id=572#!ce/5567?ct/27355,0,5567,5572,5573,5574,6683,52487?s/

Food for Fine Forgiveness Program

In partnership with UPD, Student Senate, and Civic Leadership we have created a Day of Giving program to help all our students.  If you currently have an outstanding parking ticket you can drop off a minimum donation of $10 of non-perishable, not expired, food items at the Civic Leadership Table in SLC between 12 pm and 2 PM November 13th-17th and provide the workers with your name and 800# for identification of your ticket. Donations can only be made to Civic Leadership Staff, NOT at the University Police office. You can have ONE previously issued parking ticket dismissed. This will benefit the Community Needs Hub for students. If you are unable to meet with civic leadership staff during their tabling hours in SLC this week you can email ThePlate@alfredstate.edu to coordinate a different drop-off time/location with Staff.

Come take part in our kindness chain, bring goods for our food or cloths drive*, donate funds to one of our charities**, learn more about the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (with specific focus on Zero Hunger) as part of our tabling initiative to celebrate overlapping and connected advocacy efforts happening this week:

  • November 13th - World Kindness Day
  • November 11th – 18th – Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
  • November 14th – Day of Giving
  • November 13th – 17th International Education Week (Global Scholar panel on November 16th at 5pm in Allegany Room CDH - all welcome)

*Community Needs Hub welcomes clean/good condition clothing and outerwear. With the season changing we are particularly grateful for coats, boots, gloves, and hats. In addition, our pantry is happy to receive any non-perishable food items and is currently seeking soups (all varieties), canned spaghetti and raviolis, single serve mac and cheese, and individually wrapped snacks.

** We have fundraising drives happening for Accord's Community Action Angels (specifically seeking un-used gift-cards in any amount to Walmart, Dollar General, or Amazon to support families in need this holiday season), Greater Good Charities, and Doctors Without Borders.

We are grateful for our community and appreciate all our donors.  Stop by to see us either in the Community Needs Hub or tabling in the SLC during the week!!
