THANK YOU! - Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts and Baking, Production & Management students and faculty really appreciate the support from all that attended the Spaghetti Drive-Thru Dinner.  The event was a success.

Parking and Construction Updates - Facilities

This is to make you aware that we are changing the majority of Parking Lot #39 (running along Getman Hall) to Student Parking effective immediately.  To directly offset the number of faculty spaces, we are converting some Visitor spaces to faculty/staff parking in Lot #3.

Along with construction on the loop road that impacted parking, in the past week crews began preparing areas where digging will begin for infrastructure improvements.

A reminder that ASC has a policy of replacing any trees lost with another one planted. We use professional landscape architects to guide continual improvement for our beautiful campus. You can find the latest construction news online with details about ongoing and upcoming projects.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as these construction projects are underway. The results will provide many benefits for our campus.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE CLUB – INITIAL MEETING – DR. DAVE RAY, CLUB ADVISOR

The Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences is excited to announce the reintroduction of our Criminal Justice Club at Alfred State.  There will be an interest meeting at the Physical Health and Sciences building (PHS) in room 107 at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 29th.  We will discuss club membership, activities, and nominate individuals for Club President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  Dr. Dave Ray will be the Club Advisor.  The Department looks forward to seeing you at our initial meeting.

The Criminal Justice Club is open to anyone who has an interest in criminal justice, law, forensics, cyber security, or any other aspects related to the criminal justice field.  Clubs are a great opportunity to meet, interact, and engage in activities, meetings, and discussions of interest with fellow students who share similar interests.

Mini-Break Housing Information

The Office of Residential Services would like to remind students that the residence halls will not close for Mini-Break (October 1 to October 4). With that, students are permitted to remain in their housing assignments without applying for break housing. Regardless of if you plan to remain on campus during a portion of mini-break or if you plan to go home, we ask that you take a few minutes to fill out the following survey. This information will be used to get an understanding of how many students will be on campus and to determine how best to serve them.

To view this survey, please click this link: BREAK HOUSING SURVEY or https://forms.office.com/r/Nuw1Nf02h2

Thank you for your help and enjoy your Mini-Break!

Please contact Residential Services at reslife@alfredstate.edu or 607-587-4371 with any questions related to mini-break.
