Holiday Cards for Nursing Homes – Community Service Initiative

Help the sisters of Alpha Sigma spread Holiday cheer this season by donating Holiday cards for the residents in our local nursing homes. Each donated card is special and will make someone smile! There will be a drop-off box in SLC suite 305 Monday-Friday from 12-2pm.

Have blank Holiday cards but no time to fill them out? We will take them anyways. Don’t have cards but want to fill some out to support the cause? Look on Pioneer Link for any upcoming events Alpha Sigma Sorority is hosting, they will have cards at their events. These times don’t work for you? Reach out to us on Instagram to schedule a different time at alphasigmasorority.

Community Action Angels – Holiday Fund Raising Initiatives:

University Police, the Office of Global Engagement and Civic Wellbeing, and Pi Rho Zeta are partnering with Community Action Angels this Holiday Season and are seeking your support!

Pi Rho Zeta will be collecting toys and winter clothing for children of all ages in partnership with Accords Community Action Angels.  Donations can be dropped off to their leadership suite, Room 306 in the Student Leadership Center.  The deadline for donations is Friday, December 2nd

In addition, UP and Global and Civic Wellbeing will be working to collect much needed funds and gift cards to further support the community needs through the Action Angels Holiday Assistance program. If you would like to make a financial donation you may do so at one of our tabling events or stop by either UP campus dispatch or the Center for Global and Civic Wellbeing in SLC 416.

Should you have any questions or want to find ways to further support these initiatives please contact Kris Bianchi (BianchKS@alfredstate.edu), Sandy Burdick (BurdicSL@alfredstate.edu), and Cyan Corwine (corwincy@alfredstate.edu)!

Your support goes a long way to help make the holiday season brighter throughout our community.
