Marine Corp Officer Selection Team

Have you ever thought about testing yourself in ways few people ever do? About earning real leadership experience, financial support for school, or a career path that sets you apart?

The United States Marine Corps Officer Selection Team (OST Buffalo) will be on campus at the career fair, and to host an information session for students interested in military service from Alfred University and Alfred State.

πŸ“… Date: Wednesday, September 24, 2025
πŸ•’ Time: 3:00–5:00 p.m.
πŸ“ Location: EJ Brown Conference Room, 3rd floor.

AND

πŸ“… Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025
πŸ•’ Time: 3:00–5:00 p.m.
πŸ“ Location: Alfred University Kenyon Allen, 2nd floor of the Powell Campus Center

This session will cover the officer programs available to you during college or immediately after graduation, including:

  • Tuition Assistance & Financial Aid β€“ learn how training opportunities can help offset the cost of your education.
  • Income While in College β€“ earn pay over the summer by attending Officer Candidates School (OCS).
  • Career Options β€“ explore active duty and reserve service, as well as career fields in aviation, law, and ground contracts.
  • Training & Preparation β€“ as part of OST Buffalo, you’ll train with other motivated students, developing physical fitness, basic military knowledge, and leadership skills to prepare for OCSβ€”all while still in school.

This is not ROTC. This program gives you the flexibility to pursue your degree at Alfred while building toward a commission as a Marine Corps officer. With ROTC no longer offered locally, this is a chance to fill that gap and access one of the most respected leadership pipelines in the country.
