The Help Desk will be closed Thursday and Friday (11/28 and 11/29) for students to celebrate Thanksgiving, we will be open from 8-4 Wednesday (11/27) and 1-5 Saturday and Sunday (11/30 and 12/1)

Print & Mail Services will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 - Friday, Nov. 29. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

The Community Needs Hub (ground floor of Peet Hall) will be reducing hours over the Thanksgiving break. We will be open:

• Wednesday, November 27th from 10-4
• Friday, November 29th from 1-5 

Food pantry requests (sign in with Alfred State credentials) can be submitted either while visiting during open hours or remotely.  Any pantry requests will be filled during the above noted open hours this break or after we resume normal operational hours, Tuesday, December 3rd.

Winter Aid Application Available!

Winter course registration is now available! Register for courses and complete the Winter Aid Application. if you are interested in using financial aid. Your eligibility information will be sent to your ASC email after your application is reviewed.

The Center for Academic Resources & Excellence (CARE) will be closed Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving Break. CARE includes the Academic Advising Center, Educational Opportunity Program, Office of Accessibility Services and the Student Success Center. 

Need to make a change in your Meal Plan for the Spring Semester? This MUST be done when processing your Spring Bill.

The LAST day to change your Meal Plan: Friday, January 17th, 2025.

Alfred State Dance Team presents our WINTER SHOWCASE on Saturday, December 7th in Orvis Auditorium! Hot Chocolate Bar starts at 6:30 pm and the Performance starts at 7 pm. With a special performance from THE ROCK BAND at our Intermission. Purchase tickets in advance at the Campus Store with cash, CSA, or credit/debit card. Tickets at the door are Cash Only. Ticket prices are $3 for students and $5 general admission. Welcome the Holiday season with us! See you there!

The ACES Office will be closed on Thursday, November 28th (Thanksgiving) and Friday, November 29th. We will re-open for regular business hours on Monday, December 2nd. Our regular office hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. Have a safe, happy and thankful Thanksgiving!

Kick off finals week with a PJ themed Midnight Breakfast served by your faculty & staff on Sunday, December 8 from 10PM-12AM in the Terrace, CDH. This is the time to wear your cozy PJ's to the Terrace and take a quick break from studying and enjoy a meal & conversations with friends and professionals. This breakfast is meant to help you relax and destress from finals. If you have a meal plan it will be one meal swipe; however, if you do not, you are still welcome as you will get a meal voucher!

Community Action Angels – Holiday Fund Raising Initiatives:

University Police is again trying to raise money for ACCORD's Community Action Angels.

This year ACCORD is looking for cash donations to be turned into 50-dollar gift cards for children 10-18 years old and small toys (stocking stuffers) to larger toy donations for children 0-9 years old. 

At this time, all donations can be dropped off at the University Police Department by Friday, December 9th.

Megabus is offering non-stop bus services to New York City and Alfred for Thanksgiving break. Dates and times of bus travel are listed below!

To Alfred, NY 

Sunday, December 1, 2024 departing from Port Authority at 10:15am

Alternate bus options are available through https://trailways.com. Please note that Trailways bus leaves from Hornell, NY and you will need to find transportation to the bus station. 

Rochester Airport Shuttle 

Depart Alfred Wednesday, November 27 at 6am 

Return trip departs Rochester Airport Sunday, December 1st at 5pm 

Requests for Airport Shuttle must be to the Rochester Airport and students will have to fill out the Online travel request form for both their trips to and from the airport.

The Student Senate General Assembly (GA) provides the opportunity for all Students of Alfred State to discuss issues/concerns and hear updates in regard to all matters that affect campus life. These topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Campus Dining & Transportation

2. Academic & Technology Services

3. Student Engagement & Clubs/Organizations

4. Commuter Affairs & Campus Parking

5. University Police & Campus Safety

6. Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. 

This semester the Student Senate Executive Board will be raffling off three $250 gift cards at the last General Assembly (GA) on 12/3/2024. To receive a ticket for the raffle you must attend a GA meeting throughout the semester. Each attendance will earn you one ticket.

Attendees must show up on time. Late attendance forfeits your ability to receive your raffle ticket.
