The Fitch Law Firm External Scholarship Offer - $2,500

The Fitch Law Firm is extremely excited to sponsor the Truck Accident Awareness Scholarship worth $2,500. We aim to express our support for a promising college student who can share solutions for helping reduce trucking accidents on our roads. The academic award can go toward tuition, books, and other education-related expenses.

The future depends on the young generation and we would like to make sure that they have all the necessary tools to succeed. It is our moral duty to make sure they learn how to protect themselves and their loved ones from traumatic events.

Students can apply to these scholarships by writing an original public safety announcement (between 1,000 to 1,500 words) that a) raises awareness of the current climate concerning commercial truck accidents and b) proposes a creative way to increase road safety here in Ohio and throughout our nation.

Eligibility and application details are included below.

  • Available to students accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college/university or graduate school
  • 3.0 or higher GPA (unofficial transcript must accompany the application)
  • Available to legal U.S. residents, or otherwise authorized to work or attend school in the United States

To apply, students must use the form on our website: https://johnfitch.com/about/scholarships/academic-scholarship/, fill out all of the required fields, submit their unofficial transcript, proof of enrollment, and their essays (in Word or PDF format).

The deadline for this scholarship is December 1, 2025

The Clothesline Project!

Health & Wellness Services and the Title IX Coordinator invite all students, staff, and faculty to visit The Clothesline Project in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Clothesline Project is a visual testament to the impact of violence. It features shirts decorated by survivors of violence, advocates against violence, or by friends and family in honor of a victim. Each shirt tells a powerful story, creating a compelling, emotional, and unforgettable display.

When: Monday, October 27 through Friday, October 31

Where: The SLC Park Space

We encourage everyone in our campus community to take a few moments to view this moving exhibit. It is a powerful way to raise awareness, show support for survivors, and remember those whose lives have been affected by domestic violence.

For more information about support resources or related programs, please contact Health & Wellness or the Title IX office.
