Get Ready for Hot Dog Day!
Dear Alfred State Pioneers,
This weekend Alfred will celebrate Hot Dog Day, highlighting the fellowship of students, faculty, staff, business owners, and village residents – all while successfully raising funds for cherished, local non-profit organizations! Online you can learn more about what’s going on including the Spring Carnival and the full list of Hot Dog Day events.
Regarding guests, please remember that for this weekend, students may only host one on-campus or off-campus residence hall visitor at a time (until Monday). Although the guest pre-registration period is now closed, you can still register your one guest with staff members at the residence halls where wristbands will be issued. For those inviting guests, it is important to remember that students are accountable for the behavior of their guests per the Student Code of Conduct.
To keep everyone safe, additional law enforcement agencies will be patrolling Alfred this weekend. If you witness inappropriate behavior or someone in need, it is important that you report your concern to staff or law enforcement immediately. A full list of our local village laws is available online, including the Open Container, Social Host, Fire (bonfire), and Noise Ordinances.
Hot Dog Day is a great tradition! Thanks for being a responsible member of the community and representing the Alfred State Pioneers in a manner that makes us proud while raising funds for local organizations!
