Alfred State Day of Giving is November 5!

Pioneers, get ready to celebrate! Thursday, November 5, is Alfred State’s Day of Giving, and we’re bringing the campus together for a day of fun, prizes, and Pioneer pride!

What is Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is a special 24-hour celebration that brings together alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and supporters to give back to Alfred State. Their generosity helps support the students, programs, scholarships, and opportunities that make our college special.

Why does it matter to you? Because Day of Giving is all about investing in the future of Alfred State and the next generation of Pioneers, YOU! The support we receive helps strengthen our campus community and create opportunities for current and future students.

And the best part? You can join the celebration right here on campus!

📅 Day of Giving: Campus Events

🕚 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. | SLC Park Space

Stop by between classes for:

  • 360° photo booth
  • FREE cotton candy and popcorn
  • FREE Alfred State T-shirts (while supplies last!)
  • Turkey handcraft activity
  • Big Blue coloring pages
  • Cornhole and other inflatable games
  • Thank-you board to share your appreciation with our donors
  • Food Pantry Collection: Bring nonperishable food items to donate and help support fellow Pioneers in need!

🍽️ 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Wellsville Dining Hall

  • Play Traveling Trivia for a chance to win cash prizes!

🏀 3 - 5 p.m. | Campus Store, Throw to Win!

🧁 6 - 7:30 p.m. | SLC Park Space

Keep the celebration going with:

  • Cupcake decorating to celebrate Day of Giving
  • Bingo for prizes, hosted by CAB (Campus Activities Board)

💙 Be Part of Something Bigger

Day of Giving is a reminder that it takes a whole community to make Alfred State exceptional. Whether you're enjoying the activities, sharing your Pioneer pride, or thanking the people who support our college, you’re part of what makes this place special.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, November 5, and come celebrate with your fellow Pioneers!

We can’t wait to see you there! 💙💛

Community Trick-or-Treat Event October 30th

Alfred State is once again opening the doors to the SLC park-space and leadership suites for our wider community to bring their children for a trick-or-treat event and we invite you to be a collaborative partner!

  • Date - Friday, October, 30th
  • Location - 3rd Floor of Alfred States Student Leadership Center
  • Time- 5pm to 7pm

There are a few ways to be involved:

  • Celebrate your campus affinities while engaging in this spirited community engagement event by signing your club/department/class up to have a table in the SLC to hand out "treats" to the community "treaters"
  • Can't donate your time but want to help with supplies? Donate candy or Halloween-themed swag to be handed out by campus organizations on the night.
  • Looking for something fun to do with your family, dress up and pilot those costumes with your children for a warm "trick-or-treat" experience in the SLC and help us spread the word to the wider community (we can even print a poster for you to put up where folks in wider community can see).
    • Student Unions is further supporting the event by screening a festive spooky-season classic (yet to be determined) as they have done in the past.

For sign up to support this event complete our community trick-or-treat table sign-up form (using your Alfred State credentials). If you have any questions, please email civicengagement@alfredstate.edu
