Veterans Club T-shirt Fundraiser
The Alfred State Veterans United Club is holding a T-shirt fundraiser. Sizes range from S-3XL and they are $20. The club name is featured on the left sleeve. #REDFridays -Remember Everyone Deployed is a movement encouraging people to wear red every Friday to show support and appreciation for U.S. military personnel stationed overseas. It acts as a reminder of the sacrifices made by troops and their families.
2026 SUNY Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS) Begins March 22
Alfred State College is committed to continuously improving the student experienceβfrom academics and support programs to campus facilities and beyond. Student feedback plays a vital role in identifying what is working well and where we can do better.
As part of this effort, Alfred State will participate in the 2026 SUNY Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS). On Sunday, March 22, you will receive an email from survey@suny.edu with a link to the survey.
This is an important opportunity to share your feedback about your experience at Alfred State. Participation is voluntary, and all responses will remain confidential. Please contact Jennifer Dunne, Director OIRPE at dunnej@alfredstate.edu with any questions.

Are you ready to lead and make an impact at Alfred State? The Student Senate is now accepting candidates for the 2026β2027 Executive Board!
Available Positions:
- Vice President of Finance
- Vice President of Records and Organization
- Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
- Vice President of Student Activities
- Vice President of Academic and Technology Affairs
- Vice President of Student Life
- Vice President of Wellsville Affairs
- Vice President of Commuter Affairs
Compensation:
All positions earn a base pay of $16.00/hour for up to 9 hours per week.

Mandatory One-on-One Meeting
After submitting the interest form, the current holder of the position you are seeking will contact you to schedule a mandatory one-on-one meeting.
These meetings must take place between:
Monday, March 22nd β Monday, April 6th
This meeting must be completed within this timeframe in order to secure your place on the ballot. Failure to complete the meeting will result in removal from the ballot.

- Must maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA (last semester and cumulative)
- Must be available every Tuesday from 5:00 PM β 8:00 PM during the 2026β2027 academic year

Group Therapy at Health and Wellness
Health & Wellness Services has 3 5-week Group Therapy Sessions still looking for students beginning the first week in April. Each group is limited to 8 students, so first come first serve.
Group Therapy Topics:
- MINDFULNESS FOR COLLEGE LIFE - Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected?
- Through guided meditations, gentle discussions, and practical mindfulness exercises, participants learn to reduce stress, increase focus, and build emotional resilience. This group offers a supportive space for connection, reflection, and self-care.
- MUSIC THERAPY
- Music Therapy Group will use music to help reduce anxiety and depression, regulate mood, ease stress, and improve social skills and self-confidence. All students are welcome, regardless of skill level or background.
- PROBLEM-SOLVING
- A structured, therapeutic group designed to help participants build practical skills for managing everyday challenges, stressors, and interpersonal difficulties. Through guided discussion, skill-building exercises, and real-life examples, members learn how to identify problems clearly, generate possible solutions, weigh pros and cons, and create actionable plans.
