🎉 Scholarship Universe is LIVE! 🎉
Alfred State has a new scholarship platform called Scholarship Universe. It’s the one place where students can be matched with both internal and external scholarships.
5 Things to Know:
1. When you log in, you'll land on a dashboard. To unlock scholarships, the most important step is answering the matching questions — you can click the green bar with the dollar signs at the top or the “Questions” tab on the left.
2. As you answer questions, the system automatically matches you with scholarships you may qualify for. Matches can be viewed under the “Scholarships” tab on the left toolbar. Scholarships are labeled as Match, Partial Match, or Non-Match.
3. You can see application-based scholarships under the “Applications” tab, including a section for ones that are “Ready to Start.”
4. If documents are required, you can upload everything directly under the “My Docs” tab.
5. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s absolutely worth it — scholarships are open NOW, so students should log in and get started, you can access Scholarship Universe by this link: https://alfredstate.scholarshipuniverse.com or on our Alfred State webpage: ScholarshipUniverse | Alfred State

What’s Going Around- Health and Wellness Services
There are multiple viral illnesses going around campus, mainly respiratory and gastrointestinal. Recommendations from our medical team include rest, fluids, and over-the-counter medications. These infections are usually viral and typically resolve on their own. Overall, ways to lower your risk of infection include the following: proper hand washing, plenty of sleep, stay physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you wish to be evaluated by our team through the end of this week. Alfred Campus- call us at 607-587-4200 to set up a time to visit (appointment only). Wellsville Campus- call 607-587-3141 or visit the health center in the PSU for a walk-in appointment.
Medical excuses or "notes" excusing students from class will not be provided. However, confirmation dates and times a student received treatment can be accessed through the student health portal, to be provided to their faculty.
Reproductive & Sexual Health Clinic
No matter what your reproductive goals are, we’re here to help. Clinic appointments are available with the Allegany County Department of Health at TA Parish Hall. Free or Low-Cost services are 100% confidential including STI testing & treatment, HPV Vaccinations, Physical Exams, Pregnancy Tests, FREE condoms and more...
