Congratulations, we have awarded $25,000.

The application period for Professional Development funding is now closed. We are happy to report that we have awarded the full $25,000 that was budgeted for this initiative. We will not be accepting any additional applications at this time.  We are excited for the many faculty and staff who took advantage of this opportunity for assistance in funding their upcoming professional development plans such as conferences, team building, presentation opportunities and coursework.  We look forward to hearing about all the great things you learn and engage with as part of the reporting process.  Although the open application period is closed, we encourage you to continue to have conversations with your directors, deans, and VPs about ongoing professional development opportunities and ways to fund these.

UK Soccer Team Host families needed

We are excited to be welcoming our friends back from the UK for their bi-annual visit to Alfred.  The Harvey Grammar School soccer team and their coaches will be coming to the US again this summer.  They will be in Alfred on Sunday, August 9th arriving in the evening and leaving on Friday, August 14th in the morning. We are looking for families locally to host our players.  We ask that you can have at least two boys per home, with more welcome.  There are 20 players and 3 coaches visiting again.  The boys will need daily drop off at ASC or AU.  You will provide a safe place for them to stay, breakfast, lunch and some dinners and a ride to and from campus.  There is usually a little down time where you can also take the boys to see or do something locally you think they would enjoy.  They will practice and play soccer while here, and as a host during the last visit in 2024, I can tell you it was a great experience with amazing young men who truly appreciate our hospitality.   Host families from Hornell, Alfred, Alfred-Almond and Wellsville have participated.  If you would like more information, please reach out.  haggerpm@alfredstate.edu

Timeline for Posting Interim Grades for Spring 2026

Faculty can enter Interim Grades in BannerWeb from 10 a.m. on Friday, February 27 through 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 5.

  • Interim grades can only be entered for parts of term 1 (full-term), O (first ten weeks), and C (last ten weeks).
  • Every student who appears on your class roster should have a grade posted.
  • If an interim grade is not posted, a grade change form cannot be processed since interim grades are unofficial.
  • If a student withdrew during the “withdrew with record” time frame, you must enter either an “H” for withdrew failing, or a “G” for withdrew passing.
  • Interim grades are available to students as soon as they are posted. This differs from final grades which cannot be viewed by students until after the deadline for posting and the system rolls.
  • On March 18, final grades will be turned on for all parts of term that end on or before March 18.  Final grades for part of term will be due March 23.
