Faculty/Staff Vehicle Registrations

Faculty/staff should register your vehicle online. All permits (hangtags) will be mailed to your department’s campus address. The registration fee remains $5 per employee.

Please register through  My.AlfredState.edu and select:

The Parking Card - click on the Vehicle Registration link

Once registered, your permit will be mailed through campus mail to your department’s address. *Please make sure your campus address is up-to-date. If it is not, please contact HR to make necessary changes.

This process may take a couple of weeks before you receive your permit in the campus mail. The permit can be switched between vehicles that only you drive to campus. They are not to be shared with other individuals to serve as their registration. You may contact University Police for an additional permit for special circumstances at 3999 for arrangements on obtaining it.

* If for some reason you are not able to pay online, you may pay at Student Records and Financial Services, bring your receipt to the University Police Department, complete a Vehicle Parking Registration Form and we will issue your permit at that time.

NYSTRS Delegate Vacancy

We have been advised by New York State Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS) that there is a delegate vacancy for the 2025-2027 term. A delegate has two main functions;

  1. Attend the two-day Annual Delegates Meeting held in the fall at which they elect a teacher member to NYSTRS’ Board.
  2. Serve as a liaison between NYSTRS and the members in their district. In this role, delegates often answer retirement-related and general System questions for their colleagues. Topics include where to get NYSTRS information, differences between tiers of membership and how to plan for retirement.

If you are interested in serving and currently a NYSTRS member, please notify Marci Johnson by September 1, 2026.  If multiple nominations are received, an election will be conducted among eligible NYSTRS members.

Additional information regarding delegate responsibilities may be found at NYSTRS Delegate Information.
