Tomorrow is the last day to apply! 

Allied Health is looking for a Full Time Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator for Diagnostic Medical Sonography! 

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator is responsible for teaching (30-40%) and clinical supervision (60-70%) of the clinical education portion of the DMS program. They are responsible for the placement and supervision of students at the clinical site, which includes regular visits to clinical sites where students are being trained.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Holds, at a minimum, an associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field
  • Possession of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) current registration in abdomen and OB/GYN
  • Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and in educational theories and techniques

  • Medication Safety: Identifying and Preventing Errors (with nursing CE hours)
    Focuses on reducing medication errors, prevention strategies, patient safety, and healthcare delivery impacts. Participants may earn 2.5 nursing continuing education hours.
  • Legalized Cannabis in New York: Information for Healthcare Professionals
    Reviews cannabis regulation in New York under the MRTA, healthcare implications, risks and benefits, and ethical/legal considerations.
  • Trauma Informed Care (with CE hours)
    Explores the impact of trauma and best practices for delivering trauma-informed care. CE hours available for eligible licensed professionals.

UPDATE: Host Families Still Needed!!! (UK Soccer Team visit)

We are excited to be welcoming our friends back from the UK for their bi-annual visit to Alfred.  The Harvey Grammar School soccer team and their coaches will be in Alfred on Sunday, August 9th arriving in the evening and leaving on Friday, August 14th in the morning. We are STILL in NEED of families locally to host our players.  Host families from Hornell, Alfred, Alfred-Almond, and Wellsville have participated.  If you would like more information, please reach out. haggerpm@alfredstate.edu   This is a great short-term experience, with some amazing student-athletes from the UK.

Obituary - Richard Foster

Richard Foster, 87, of Purdy Creek Rd., passed away May 25, 2026 at Wellsville Manor.

Mr. Foster is the father of retired employee Mike and current employees Dan and Doug.
